Charcoal work so far

As you can see above, today I have been working with charcoal to either add more texture to ink and watercolour drawings or using tonal values to create interesting charcoal work.

I have recently started using willow charcoal which is making my life much easier when it comes to erasing areas and also with my animation tests so far. Before that I had only been using compressed sticks which were great for getting a thick line with a dark pigment. But once the line was there, there was really no way of moving it.

I have basically been switching between using an etching technique and a blending one for the work shown above, maybe I should move to make them one singular product in some of my future work?

I have some more ideas that I want to work on so stay tuned, and also I need to upload my animation tests.
