Thinking about music

With the end of the semester approaching quickly, I realised that I need to start thinking about the music I need to comission for my film. I am not 100% sure whether or not my film needs it, I want the sound effects to be intense and overbearing to create the right atmosphere for auidences. I am not sure if music would help or hinder that.

I have never been very good at deciding what types of music go well with my films. So brainstorming the type of music I would want has proven difficult, but not impossible. After watching lots of other films exploring similar topics and noting down that they mostly use instrumental music with singular instruments. I think going down this path would be my best bet.

Over the end of year break, I will have a better think about how I want to go about it and the purpose the music would serve in the film. I know the importance of the sound effects and the voice actors.
