Animal crossing style illustrations of my pets

Possibly the only exciting news to come out of late March was the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I have been a big fan of the series since I was a little kid back in 2008. Playing Wild World on my old Nintendo DS brought me a lot of fond memories and when I saw that they were bringing a new series out with a new concept, set of characters and so many new npc, I was excited.

So as I don't have a Nintendo Switch, I thought that the next best thing to do would be to design my own pets as characters in the game. I had a lot of fun doing this and got quite a good response from people on the designs themselves.

The art style is very different to my usual style so it was definitely a change to use a much more simple set of shapes and colours, but that's what made it a good challenge.

I would love to carry this on and maybe do other peoples pets too. These don't take an awful lot of time to create so I could do them in the evenings as a small break :)
