Working on environments

I have been recently working on creating more environment work for my visual development portfolio. I created work on based off some of my favourite places on earth.

The first is Lochranza, Arran. I wanted to paint the castle ruins and bring in some interesting tones and textures.

Next I wanted to change up the colour palette and use more cold, darker colours. So I created a landscape based on the mountain range I climbed in Bolivia back in 2017. I got some good feedback on this image.

Lastly, I painted a forest scene, I am working on animating this as a short gif but haven't finished that section yet. I loved working with the green tones in the painting.
